Biography
OLM Incorporated, formerly Oriental Light and Magic (derived from American special effects studio Industrial Light & Magic), is an animation studio founded in June 1994 by 奥野敏聡 (Toshiaki Okuno), 神田修吉 (Shūkichi Kanda), 太田昌二 (Shōji Ōta), 湯山邦彦 (Kunihiko Yuyama), 高橋ナオヒト (Naohito Takahashi), 千羽由利子 (Yuriko Chiba), 小板橋司 (Tsukasa Koitabashi), 和崎伸之 (Nobuyuki Wasaki) and 水谷貴哉 (Takaya Mizutani), and a subsidiary of IMAGICA Group since 2015.

Although they have worked on several anime series, their most prominent work is Pokémon, doing all of the TV anime and films. The animation studio is composed of several teams all named after their Animation Producer (this specifically since around 2014).

Its current teams or production lines are (as of April 2024):
* OLM TEAM KATO (加藤浩幸 (Hiroyuki Katō)) (also known as OLM Division 1)
* OLM TEAM KUMEMURA (久米村誠 (Makoto Kumemura)) (shares various resources with OLM Division 1 since it is still highly connected to it with Hiroyuki Katō being credited as Creative Producer supervising the production line) - this is also the team currently in charge of producing the Pocket Monsters TV anime since PM2023 episode 46
* OLM TEAM INOUE (井上たかし (Takashi Inoue)) (also known as OLM Division 2)
* OLM TEAM HIKITA (引田崇人 (Takahito Hikita)) (shares various resources with OLM Division 2 since it is still highly connected to it with Takashi Inoue being credited as Production Supervisor supervising the production line)
* OLM TEAM YOSHIOKA (吉岡大輔 (Daisuke Yoshioka))
* OLM TEAM MASUDA (増田克人 (Katsuhito Masuda))
* No Official Team Name (住友英司 (Eiji Sumitomo)) (unclear if own permanent production line at time of writing)
* No Official Team Name (正田聡史 (Satoshi Shōda)) (unclear if own permanent production line at time of writing)
* OLM TEAM MIIKE (坂美佐子 (Misako Saka)) (is named after 三池崇史 (Takashi Miike) under which this team produces live-action works)

The current president of the company is 釜秀樹 (Hideki Kama) who took over from its original president 奥野敏聡 (Toshiaki Okuno) in April 2024 - the latter staying in the company on its board of directors.

The company's headquarters are located in Setagaya, Tokyo.
