On October 15th, 2020, the official Japanese Twitter account announced that this episode was available to watch on the official Japanese YouTube channel. The video was region locked to Japan only. A special artwork showcasing the episode was created to promote its release on YouTube.

It was part of the Anipoke Selection (アニポケセレクション), a limited-time promotion to release select episodes from the older anime series on the official Japanese YouTube channel! A playlist was available to watch these episodes.

Starting on Tuesday, May 30th, 2023, selected episodes from the anime Pocket Monsters anime were available on the official Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel but were region locked. It was announced on the official Japanese Pokémon Twitter and the official Japanese Anipoke Twitter accounts.

Selected episodes from Satoshi and Pikachu's adventures are now available on YouTube.
Every Tuesday - Episodes from Pocket Monsters (1997) to Pocket Monsters Sun & Moon were released sequentially.
Every Wednesday - Episodes of Pocket Monsters (2019) were released sequentially.

Near the end of the episode, Team Rocket is hanging from the tree in what is most likely torn up mandarin orange boxes. Only mika (みか) is visible, but it is clear that there is at least one more letter. Mikan (みかん) is most likely the full word and translates to mandarin orange.

In the original credits, Rikako Aikawa (愛河里花子), who played Transel, Butterfree, Beedle and Spear in this episode, is mistakenly credited for voicing Caterpie, who has no speaking role in the episode.
