Summary:

We Will Be Heroes is the second Diamond and Pearl dub opening and eleventh overall in the dub. The opening features clips from the Japanese opening Together as well as some clips from the Japanese ending By Your Side ~Hikari's Theme~ (君のそばで〜ヒカリのテーマ〜). The opening debuted in the episode "Tears for Fears!".

The opening begins Dawn and her long hair blowing in the wind as Ash, Piplup, Pikachu and Brock slowly come into the camera's view to show them all resting on a hill. The next clip features Ash, Pikachu and Brock on seadoos as Manaphy, Buizel and Mantyke swim and jump around them.

Pikachu jumps into the air in the following scene and Aipom uses its Swift attack which creates a transition to Buizel jumping into the air and using its SonicBoom against Pikachu's which it counters with Iron Tail.

Dawn is shown holding a Poké ball up in the air in front of the sun as it transitions to Pikachu using Iron Tail once again and hits a Rhydon with its attack. Ash throws a Poké ball towards the screen and it quickly changes to Piplup using BubbleBeam, then Turtwig using Razor Leaf and then finally Chimchar using Flamethrower.

Dawn and Zoey pose together for a brief shot as it transitions to Team Rocket and their Pokémon who make a brief cameo appearance in the opening. The opening finishes with Ash holding a Poké ball and then it transitions to the outer space title card background as the Pokémon DP Battle Dimension logo materializes.
