Summary
Ash and co. are looking for a place to train. Ash is excited that the Pokémon League is very close. Brock brings out his chili, but it happens to be very hot. A girl walks up to them and asks if Ash and co. are Pokémon trainers. Brock falls in love with the girl right away, but Misty pulls him away from her. The girl introduces herself as Katrina. She is looking for a trainer to battle her. Katrina sends out a Raichu. Ash uses Pikachu for battle. Team Rocket comes swooping down to capture Pikachu. Thinking they caught Pikachu in a net, Team Rocket is proud, but instead they caught Raichu. Raichu uses Thunderbolt on Team Rocket. Before a Mega Kick is released, a man comes out shouting, "Cut!" He moves Pikachu out of the way. A movie camera surrounds him. He calls Team Rocket losers. This gets Team Rocket mad. Suddenly, the man recites a motto that is very similar to Jessie and James's motto.

Brock is interested in the man as he has produced some great movies. Team Rocket wonders what the man is doing here. The man is looking for some actors for his next movie. Jessie and James wants to be the actors, but the man says that he is only looking for Pokémon actors. The star of the man's movie is Wigglytuff. Meowth laughs at Wigglytuff. Mad, Wigglytuff slaps Meowth on the face. Brock makes some comments which makes Wigglytuff slap him too. The man tells them that Abra was going to be in the movie, but it fled.

The auditions starts immediately. Ash wishes Pikachu good luck while Brock chooses Vulpix. Misty is about to choose Staryu, but Psyduck pops out. To be in the movie, the Pokémon has to dance. All the Pokémon on the stage begins dancing. The man is impressed, but he has narrowed the Pokémon down to seven. The Pokémon are Pikachu, Raichu, Arbok, Weezing, Vulpix, Psyduck, and Meowth. Meowth is happy that he has been picked. He starts to lick the man. Now the seven Pokémon has to sing. Suddenly, Jigglypuff comes out, and it sings its lullaby. Everyone falls asleep. When the people wake up, they get mad because Jigglypuff has drawn on their faces. In order to be in the movie, the Pokémon has to sing with Wigglytuff. Meowth tells Wigglytuff that he works alone. This results in getting slapped. Wigglytuff slaps Arbok and Weezing too. Because of this, Arbok, Weezing, and Meowth are disqualified. Team Rocket walks away. Wigglytuff has turned down all the other Pokémon except for Psyduck. Because of this, Psyduck gets to be in the movie.

Misty is happy that Psyduck won. The man walks up to the group, and he gives them a preview of what the movie is about. Ash, Brock, and Katrina wants to help the man with the movie. The man agrees to this. Meanwhile, Team Rocket has been spying on the group. Arbok and Weezing are disappointed that they didn't get the part. The man tells everyone to set up for the last scene. Pidgeotto and Staryu make background effects with wind and rain. Pikachu and Raichu makes a thunderstorm appear. The battle begins. Wigglytuff and Psyduck makes an entrance. Suddenly, smoke fills the area. Team Rocket appears, and they say their motto. The Pokémon surrounds Team Rocket. Team Rocket and the Pokémon starts to fight each other. The man tells his crew to film it. Katrina screams because the Pokémon are trapped in Team Rocket's machine. Psyduck fortunately did not get captured. Misty tells Psyduck that it is the only Pokémon left, so it has to stop Team Rocket. Psyduck begins to run around in circles. Psyduck looks to be stressed out. A blue light surrounds Psyduck. It uses Confusion to free all of the Pokémon. Team Rocket blasts off again.

Wigglytuff runs over to Psyduck to make sure that it is not hurt. Everyone cheers for Psyduck. At night, Ash is a bit disappointed that he got distracted from his training again. Katrina tells Ash that she won't go easy on him in the league just because they are friends. Meanwhile, Team Rocket is hanging from a tree. They hope they don't fall.
