Summary
Ash is continuing his journey to be a Pokémon Master. Him and his friends are walking on the road when they see a sign. The sign says "Missing" and a picture of James is on it. A limousine pulls up and a man asks them if they've seen James before. Ash says yes and the man quickly pulls them into the limo. Team Rocket peaks out behind the bushes. Jessie and Meowth get up and they look at the sign. James sighs and they walk on.

The limo pulls into the driveway which is a very long one. Ash, Misty, and Brock see a very large mansion. The limo stops at the front doors and everyone gets out. The butler tells them that they are only looking at a tiny looking mansion. He points to a even larger one and he tells them that it belongs to James. Team Rocket has also arrived at the mansion. Jessie and Meowth are very happy but James looks very sad. Inside, Ash, Misty, and Brock see two coffins lined up. The butler tells them that his parents past away and that the whole mansion belongs to James. The butler tells them that James must marry a woman within 24 hours or the mansion will be donated to charity. Team Rocket is also listening in.

Ash and his friends are outside discussing what they should do. Suddenly, Team Rocket falls from the roof of the mansion and they land right on the ground. James gets very confused of what to do. Jessie and Meowth wants James to get the mansion. James tells them that he remembers something.

A boy was walking home with his Growlithe. They were both very cold and haven't eaten. The boy falls to the ground and he tells Growlithe to save himself. Then the angels appear in the sky and the boy falls to sleep. Growlithe howls and James tells them that the boy was found frozen on the ground. Everyone is crying except for Misty. James doesn't want to marry the woman. Jessie and Meowth ties James up with rope. Jessie and Meowth dress up in black costumes thinking that it will make them invisible even though everyone can see them.

With help from Jessie, James knocks on the door and the butler answers it. Jessie talks disguising her voice and the butler welcomes him in. Still disguising her voice, Jessie tells the butler that she wants cash. Suddenly, they hear a laugh and two people jump out of the coffin. They are James's parents. It seems that they were only pretending to be dead just so that James can come back home. The butler takes Jessie, James, and Meowth and they run upstairs into a room.

James's parents tells James that he has to get married because it is a family tradition. They show James to his new wife, Jessebelle. Everyone screams because she looks just like Jessie.

Even Jessebelle doesn't notice that Jessie and Meowth are right there. Jessebelle leads James into a dark room. Ash and co. decide to follow them. Jessebelle opens a door and Jessie and Meowth run inside for their wealth. To their surprise, the room has nothing but gym equipment in it. James's parent appear and they tells James that he has to marry Jessebelle. They also tells Jessie and Meowth that they've noticed them all along, they just ignored them. Jessebelle gets out her whip and she starts to whip it at James. Jessebelle trips James with her whip and then she sends out her Vileplume. She commands it to use Stun Spore. Vileplume uses Stun Spore which effects James, Ash, Misty, Brock, Jessie and Meowth. Then the butler throws everyone except for James outside.

They then hear a roaring in the dog house. Pikachu tells Ash to open the door. Ash tries to open it but it's locked. Everyone pulls as hard as they can on the door handles and then Growlithe hits the door and it rushes out. Before Jessebelle gets James, Growlithe runs down the stairs and protects James. Vileplume uses another Stun Spore but Growlithe takes James and it jumps out of the window. They run back in the house to talk. James tells another one of his stories about what happened when he found out that he was going to marry Jessebelle. Suddenly, Jessebelle and her Vileplume bursts through the wall. She tells Vileplume to use Stun Spore. Before the spores can hit James, Growlithe uses Flamethrower which blocks the attack. Then Pikachu uses Thundershock which hurts Vileplume and Growlithe uses another Flamethrower which burns Vileplume up. This has Jessebelle run away.

James's dad is feeding the Magikarp when Jessebelle comes running towards them. Jessebelle knocks all of them into the water and screams that she hates Growlithe. James lets Growlithe take care of the place and then he walks away with Growlithe howling. James catches up to Jessie and Meowth and he pulls Jessie into the balloon. They shake hands and stare at each other. Meowth is running saying that they forgot him. Meanwhile, Ash, Misty, and Brock are running from Jessebelle who still wants to marry James.
