Summary
Ash polishes his Pokéballs. Brock, May, and Max are getting breakfast ready. They notice that Ash is taking his training very seriously. Corphish sees some seaweed on the ground, and it begins to eat it. A rope and wood is attached to the seaweed. Corphish eats the rope and wood too. Ash walks over to Corphish and tells it to stop. The rope snaps and hits Ash in the face. Ash slams against a tree. Corphish then walks away. They notice that Corphish has "character" inside of it.

Ash introduces Corphish to the other Pokémon. Corphish says hello to the other Pokémon by tackling them. At breakfast, Max notices that May isn't eating. May is worried about Wurmple because it hasn't been eating lately. Torchic offers some of its food, but Wurmple doesn't want any of it. Then Corphish takes a handful of food from Torchic and Wurmple's dish. Ash tells Corphish that it can't steal things from other Pokémon.

Suddenly, a mechanical arm comes down and captures Pikachu. Team Rocket is in their balloon up above. They say their motto. Meowth has Pikachu in a cage. Pikachu shocks the cage, but as usual it doesn't work. Then Team Rocket begins to float away. Wurmple wants to battle Team Rocket. It uses String Shot. The string attaches to the balloon. Ash and co. begin to pull Team Rocket down. Ash tells Corphish to help. Corphish puts its claw on the string. The string cuts in half, and Team Rocket blasts off into a deeper part of the forest.

May blames Corphish for freeing Team Rocket. Max says that Ash is responsible because he told Corphish to pull on the rope. Ash ignores Max and tells his friends that they have to rescue Pikachu. Team Rocket has landed someplace nearby. They are happy that they caught Pikachu. Ash and co. then run up to Team Rocket. Corphish uses Bubblebeam on the balloon. Meowth accidently drops Pikachu. Jessie sends out Seviper and James sends out Cacnea. The cage lands on Seviper's tail. May sends out Wurmple. Wurmple uses String Shot on the cage. May and Brock pull on the string. The cage falls off of Seviper's tail. Pikachu is safe.

May comments on how cute her Wurmple is. Jessie disagrees. She takes out her own Wurmple and says that her Wurmple is a million times cuter. Both May and Jessie argue over whos Wurmple is the best. Suddenly, both Wurmple glow. They are evolving! May's Wurmple evolves into Silcoon, and Jessie's Wurmple evolves into Cascoon. Ash looks up Silcoon in his Pokédex. Jessie thinks her Wurmple evolved into Silcoon too. James and Meowth look at both Pokémon. They notice that both of them are different. James and Meowth want to capture Pikachu. James sends in Cacnea. Corphish uses Crabhammer to knock out Cacnea. Then Pikachu uses Thunderbolt to blast Team Rocket off again.

Suddenly, Corphish gets very sick. It has a severe fever. Ash decides to put Corphish back into its Pokéball, but he realizes that he left them behind at camp. Since there isn't enough time to get the Pokéballs, he decides to carry Corphish to the Pokémon Center. Max tells Ash that the nearest Pokémon Center is very far away, but Ash knows that he will make it. Ash wants Taillow and Treecko to stay behind with Brock, May, and Max. Then him, Pikachu, and Corphish are off to the Pokémon Center.

Ash and Pikachu begin to walk over a mountain. On the other side is the Pokémon Center. Ash feels that Corphish's fever is getting worse. He finds a spring of water. He fills a leaf up with water and gives it to Corphish to drink. Corphish drinks the cold water. It's fever begins to go down. Ash's stomach growls. Because of Team Rocket, he never ate breakfast. Pikachu notices a Pecha Berry tree. He takes two berries and gives one to Pikachu. While gathering the berries, Ash accidently steps on a Shroomish. Him and Pikachu run as the Shroomish uses Stun Spore.

Back at camp, Brock, May, and Max hope that Ash and Corphish are alright. Ash approaches a river. On the other side of the lake is Dewford Town. Ash steps in the water. Suddenly, a swarm of Carvanha jump out. Ash quickly steps back. He looks up Carvanha in his Pokédex. Ash looks around. He sees a boat. He gets on the boat and begins to row his way to the other side. The Carvanha jump up again and surround the boat. Pikachu uses Thunderbolt to weaken the Carvanha. Ash rows a little further, but more Carvanha appear. The Carvanha begin to munch away on the boat. Ash has no choice but to row back to the side he came from.

Ash notices that Corphish is getting worse. They have to find a bridge. Ash and Pikachu begin to search for a bridge. They find one, but it is broken. Ash has no other choice but to cross the river. Ash places Pikachu and Corphish on a piece of wood. He carries the wood over his head. When they are about half way to the other side, the Carvanha begin to come. Pikachu jumps on the other side and shocks the Carvanha to slow them down. It works for a few seconds when Carvanha from the other side of Ash approaches. Pikachu shocks those Carvanha too. Then two Carvanha hit Ash in the back. Ash withstands the attack. He tells Corphish to stay strong. Suddenly, Corphish gets up and uses Bubblebeam. This allows Ash to finally make it to the other side.

Ash arrives at the Pokémon Center. Nurse Joy tells Ash that Corphish will be fine after some sleep. It appears that the rope and wood that Corphish ate earlier made it sick. It's night time now. Brock, May, and Max are relaxing when they hear something. Brock thinks it might've been an Aron. They walk along side the ocean. Treecko and Taillow come with them too. May sees a tape recorder sticking out from a rock. They walk towards it. Before they can get to the tape recorder, two cages spring out capturing them all except for Taillow. The traps belong to Team Rocket. They notice Ash and Pikachu isn't with them. Suddenly, the third trap is activated capturing Team Rocket. Treecko tries to bust the cage, but it doesn't work. Team Rocket tells them that it is impossible to open the cages from the inside.

Brock notices the tide is getting stronger. Soon they will all drown if they don't act fast. Brock picks up the tape recorder. He has an idea. The next day, Corphish is feeling a lot better. Suddenly, Taillow flies in with the tape recorder. Ash plays the tape recorder. It is a message from Brock saying that they are trapped. Ash has to do something.

Brock, May, Max, and Team Rocket are sinking. The tide has gotten a lot stronger. Their heads are only above water now. Then Ash and Nurse Joy arrive in a boat. Corphish breaks all the cages with Crabhammer. When they are all free, Team Rocket thanks Ash and co. for saving them. Then they want to capture Pikachu again. Pikachu uses Thunderbolt and Corphish uses Bubblebeam to blast Team Rocket off again.

May and Max thank Corphish for saving them. Corphish shows its appreciation by tackling Ash and co. They think Corphish needs to find a better way to show its appreciation.

English Official Summary

Everyone is relaxing on the beach as the episode opens. Ash is taking care of his Poké Balls and May is worrying about why her Wurmple isn't eating. Corphish, Ash's new Pokémon, is nibbling on some seaweed and starts to eat some rope before Ash can stop it. Team Rocket appears and snatches Pikachu. Wurmple uses String Shot to try and stop their balloon while Ash and company pull on the string to stop Team Rocket's escape. When Corphish tries to help, though, it snaps the string with its claws. Ash and the gang hunt down the balloon and a fight ensues between the two groups to regain Pikachu. After Pikachu is back in Ash's arms, May and Jessie begin to argue (again) about whose Wurmple is better. To everyone's surprise, both Wurmple evolve. May's evolves into a Silcoon and Jessie's evolves into a Cascoon. Jessie thinks that hers is also a Silcoon, though. After another failed attempt at trying to catch Pikachu, Team Rocket is sent blasting off again. Corphish faints at this point and Ash realizes he has to rush it to the nearest Pokémon Center. Along the way, he must cross a large river guarded by a school of aggressive Carvanha. Seeing no other way to cross and with Corphish's condition worsening, Ash decides to wade across the river with his Pokémon just barely keeping the Carvanha at bay. While all this is going on, Max, May, Brock, and the rest of their Pokémon hear an Aron down the beach. They go to inspect the noise and end up trapped in a cage by Team Rocket. Team Rocket only has a moment to be upset about Pikachu not being in the cage before they fall into their own trap. Taillow, the only one not to get trapped, takes a tape-recorded message to Ash. Ash, with Nurse Joy's help, hurries back just in time to send Corphish to free his friends before the tide comes in and immerses the cages in water. Team Rocket fails again at catching Pikachu and everyone happily thanks Corphish for its help.

Summary:
With Satoshi having added the 'Ruffian Pokémon' Heigani to his team, he and his friends continue their training on Muro Island. However, the Rocket Gang appear, and after the subsequent battle against them, Heigani suddenly collapses from fever. Satoshi wants to put it in its monster ball, but the balls are currently drying all the way back by the tents at the camp.

Satoshi starts carrying it towards the Pokémon Center for treatment, but the only way there goes across a river with no bridge in sight!! In addition, the river is full of the 'Savage Pokémon' Kibanha! How will Satoshi get through this with the delirious Heigani on his back!?
