Summary:

The first Pokémon Advance intro features most of the clips from the Japanese opening Advance Adventure but reordered for the dub. The opening played for 40 episodes until the episode "Watt's with Wattson". The opening starts off with Ash throwing his two Poké balls releasing his Treecko and Taillow which then begin battling a Vigoroth and a Pelipper.

May and her Pokémon make an appearance, followed by Brock and his new Pokémon. Max is seen holding his Pokénav with the group on the edge of a cliff as they look down a a city as the sun sets. It transitions to Ash and his friends in a forest looking around.

Ash and his friends are once again seen on a raft in the sea as a bunch of water Pokémon are shown. They are then seen walking through a cave with a bunch of Sableye's.

In the next scene, Ash and his friends are running away from a rock bridge being destroyed by water and steam from a volcanic eruption. Groudon and Team Magma make a quick appearance followed by Kyogre and Team Aqua. Team Rocket also shows up as James is yelling as his new Pokémon Cacnea is hugging him and Jessie is covering her ears.

Ash and Pikachu stand on a Pokémon battlefield high in the sky as Latios and Latias soar by them and Absol uses its attack to create a transition to Ash and Pikachu standing in a Pokémon stadium as the sunrises over the stands.

Pikachu runs at a Mightyena and uses Thunderbolt on it. The Thunderbolt fills the entire stadium as it shoots up high into the air. The smoke clears and Mightyena is knocked out. The main cast is shown as a silhouette and then is colorized as the Pokémon Advance logo appears.
