Ash and friends meet a Trainer named Georgia, who’s obsessed with defeating Dragon-type Pokémon. This “Dragon Buster” challenges Iris to a battle, and her Beartic quickly beats Iris’s Axew. Georgia demands to fight against Iris’s other Dragon-type Pokémon, but of course Axew is the only one. Iris sends out Excadrill instead, and at first it actually seems willing to fight...but a Rock Smash from Beartic quickly sends the stubborn Pokémon back into hiding. Iris opens up to her friends about her history with Excadrill, and we learn that it first went into hiding after being defeated by the same move a while back. Cilan suggests that perhaps Iris hasn’t been paying enough attention to Excadrill’s feelings while battling, and she tearfully vows to make amends. An all-night special training session ensues. The next day, Iris asks Georgia for a rematch, and Georgia accepts. Excadrill acts like a brand-new Pokémon, battling Beartic fiercely! The match ends in a draw, but a very happy Iris and Excadrill are as close now as they were in days gone by—maybe even closer!

Un entraînement d’une nuit entière s’ensuit. Le jour suivant Juliette leur accorde une revanche et c’est un Minotaupe véritablement transformé qui combat farouchement Polagriffe ! Le combat s’achève par une égalité, mais Iris est heureuse : Minotaupe et elle sont aussi proches qu’auparavant, peut-être plus encore !

Doch Siberios starker Zertrümmerer besiegt Stalobor, woraufhin sich dieser enttäuscht zurückzieht… Es stellt sich heraus, dass Stalobor vor langer Zeit durch dieselbe Attacke besiegt wurde und sich seitdem komplett abgeschottet hat. Nach einer Unterhaltung mit Benny und Ash wird Lilia bewusst, dass sie während der Kämpfe nie auf die Gefühle Stalobors Rücksicht genommen hat! Tränenüberströmt verspricht sie Stalobor, dass dies nie wieder geschehen werde. Das gegenseitige Vertrauen ist auf einmal wieder da, und sie trainieren die ganze Nacht. Am nächsten Tag bittet Lilia Georgina um einen Rückkampf, und Stalobor kämpft so wild und besessen, als wäre es ein ganz neues Pokémon! Der Kampf endet unentschieden, aber das ist nicht so wichtig, denn Lilia ist überglücklich, dass sie wieder so gut mit Stalobor befreundet ist wie früher! Wer weiß, vielleicht sogar noch ein bisschen besser…?!

Iris haalt Excadrill tevoorschijn en het gevecht begint, maar een krachtige Steenknal van Beartic verslaat Excadrill, die zich snel terugtrekt in de Heremiet modus. Het blijkt dat Iris en Excadrill lang geleden met dezelfde zet waren verslagen en dat Excadrill zich sindsdien schuil houdt.
