Niantic has announced that to promote the release of Pokémon the Movie AG Mew and the Hero of the Wave Lucario on January 22nd, 2025 in cinemas in South Korea, players of Pokémon GO can participate in a commemorative event featuring Lucario from 10:00 a.m. on January 1st, 2025 to 8:00 p.m. on January 31st, 2025 (Korean time)

A special event is coming to celebrate the release of Pokémon the Movie AG Mew and the Hero of the Wave Lucario on January 22, 2025! During the event, there will be Timed Research and Field Research that you can participate in. You can also find stickers featuring Lucario, so don't miss it!


Pokémon the Movie AG Mew and the Hero of the Wave Lucario Release Commemorative Event - From 10:00 a.m. on January 1st, 2025 to 8:00 p.m. on January 31st, 2025 (Korean time)


When you complete the Timed Research, you will receive XP, Stardust, Lucario Candy, Revive, and stickers featuring Lucario as rewards.

The Timed Research task must be completed and rewards collected by 20:00 on February 10th, 2025, Korean time.

Field Research

You can receive event-related Field Research tasks by spinning PokéStops or Gyms. When you complete Field Research, you can receive Lucario Mega Energy, Lucario Candy, and Lucario-themed stickers as rewards.
