A Seasonal Event featuring Pikachu and Friends will take place in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet from Friday, July 12th, 2024 to Thursday, July 25th, 2024, at 23:59 UTC. Water–Tera Type Pikachu with the Mightiest Mark will be returning to 7-star Tera Raid Battles while Pikachu, Raichu, Alolan Raichu, Pichu, and Mimikyu will be appearing in mass outbreaks.

A Seasonal Event Featuring Pikachu and Friends! Get ready to kick off a four-part series of special Tera Raid Battles and mass outbreaks! From Friday, July 12, 2024, at 00:00 UTC to Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 23:59 UTC, Water–Tera Type Pikachu with the Mightiest Mark will be returning to 7-star Tera Raid Battles while Pikachu, Raichu, Alolan Raichu, Pichu, and Mimikyu will be appearing in mass outbreaks across various locations.

Tera Raid Battle Event

During this event, Pikachu with the Mightiest Mark will be returning to black Tera Raid crystals. The Pikachu appearing during this event has Water as its Tera Type. Be prepared—this Pokémon is a formidable foe, and it’s got the Mightiest Mark to prove it! Work together with your friends to topple this powerful Tera Pokémon!

This special Pikachu can be caught only once per save data. If you caught this Pikachu with the Mightiest Mark previously during a Tera Raid Battle event, you cannot catch it again. You can still participate in Tera Raid Battles against this Pikachu to obtain other rewards if you’ve already caught it.

This Pikachu may be featured in future events or become obtainable through other methods.

Mass Outbreak Event

During this event, mass outbreaks of Pichu will be appearing throughout the Paldea region, mass outbreaks of Pikachu and Mimikyu will be appearing throughout the land of Kitakami, and mass outbreaks of Raichu and Alolan Raichu will be appearing throughout the Terarium at Blueberry Academy.

Alolan Raichu cannot normally be encountered during regular gameplay, and Shiny Pokémon are more likely to appear in these special mass outbreaks, so don’t miss your chance to find one!

What Is a Tera Raid Battle?

In a Tera Raid Battle, you’ll work together with three other Trainers to defeat a powerful Tera Pokémon before time runs out. The kinds of Pokémon encountered during Tera Raid Battle events will vary. Pokémon encountered in Tera Raid Battles may have a rare Tera Type.

Information about Tera Raid Battle Events

• To participate in Tera Raid Battle events, please download the latest Poké Portal News by selecting Poké Portal from the X menu, then Mystery Gift, then Check Poké Portal News. You do not need a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership to receive the latest Poké Portal News.
• After completing certain postgame events, you’ll be able to find black Tera Raid crystals. However, players who haven’t completed these events may still participate in these Tera Raid Battles by joining other Trainers in multiplayer.
• A paid Nintendo Switch Online membership (sold separately) is required to participate in Tera Raid Battles with other Trainers online. Terms apply.
• Tera Raid Battle events will occur only in the Paldea region.

What Is a Mass Outbreak?

Mass outbreaks are a phenomenon in which many of the same species of Pokémon appear in one location. During limited-time mass outbreak events, certain Pokémon will become more likely to appear.

• In order to participate in limited-time mass outbreak events, you need to have downloaded the latest update data and the latest Poké Portal News. You do not need a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership to receive the latest Poké Portal News.
