Niantic has announced that Season 9 of Pokémon GO is called Mythical Wishes and it will take place from December 1st, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. until March 1st, 2023, at 10:00 a.m.

What do you wish for, Trainer? During three different events over the course of the Season, Trainers can make their wishes come true by selecting a bonus from three different Timed Research tasks. The bonus will be in addition to existing event bonuses. Trainers can pick from one of the following options: XP, Egg Incubator, Incense.

: 1/2 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event period.
: 2× XP for catching Pokémon.
: 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon.

XXS and XXL Pokémon coming soon

Trainers have found that a few Pokémon may appear in previously undiscovered sizes: XXS and XXL! Will you be able to encounter and catch these elusive Pokémon and break your own records?

Encounter Pokémon by completing the Research Breakthrough! For the first time in Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to encounter Shiny Galarian Mr. Mime—if you’re lucky!

The following bonuses will now be permanently in effect

The following bonuses are specific to Season 9: Mythical Wishes

Increased damage for Pokémon participating in raids remotely
Trainers level 31+ receive a guaranteed 1 XL Candy for each trade.
All Trainers receive 1 additional Candy for each trade.
Trainers can open 40 Gift daily.
Trainers can send 125 Gifts daily.
