Last week, a fake version of the game
Pokémon Yellow was posted on the Apple App store and reached number 2 on the sales charts before the illegal app was pulled from the store. The popularity of the app has sparked debates on the Internet about Nintendo's stance on only releasing games for their platforms and not popular cell phone platforms such as iOS and Android. This has also brought Apple under fire for their app approval process which allowed the
Pokémon Yellow app to be sold despite it being a blatant illegally posted version of the game. The Pokémon Company issued a statement to Develop and has asked fans to report illicit imitations of their games to them.
