Echo Bridge Home Entertainment has finally confirmed that a Blyray combo pack for Pokémon 4Ever, Pokémon Heroes, Pokémon Jirachi: Wish Maker and Pokémon: Destiny Deoxys will be released in the United States on April 4th, 2012. The entry first appeared on Amazon.com over a month ago but there were no details confirming what it included. Movie 5 and Movie 7 are already available on Bluray but this will be the first time that Movie 4 and Movie 6 will be released on Bluray anywhere in the world. The Movie Collection is already available on DVD. Our Bluray/DVD database entry for this release has been updated with the latest information. Below is the summary of the Pokémon Bluray Movie Collection.

cover

POKÉMON® HEROES

In a magical water city of canals and mazes, Ash, Pikachu and the rest of the gang face off against a slick pair of thieves who plan to steal an awesome and dangerous jewel guarded by Latios™ and Latias™. To save the city from total destruction, our heroes must defeat the evil duo and overcome impossible obstacles…but time is running out.

POKÉMON® 4EVER

In order to escape a greedy Pokémon hunter, Celebi must use the last of its energy to travel through time to the present day. Celebi brings along Sammy, a boy who had been trying to protect it. Along with Ash, Pikachu, and the rest of the gang, Sammy and Celebi encounter an enemy far more advanced than the hunter. This new enemy possesses a Pokéball called a "Dark Ball," which transforms the Pokémon it captures into evil and far stronger creatures. When Celebi is captured, the fate of the entire forest is threatened.

POKÉMON® JIRACHI WISH MAKER

Only once every thousand years when the Millennium Comet is visible in the night sky does Jirachi awaken from his slumber. And when he awakens this time at a traveling circus, he's got a whole new set of friends by his side: Ash, Pikachu, Max and the whole gang. But soon, they must rescue Jirachi from the clutches of an evil magician and former scientist named Butler who wants to harness Jirachi's incredible energy to bring life to one of the most legendary and powerful Pokémon of all!

POKÉMON® DESTINY DEOXYS

Four years ago a strange meteorite crashed to Earth carrying a powerful secret. Now journey to the high-tech Larousse City where secrets are revealed as Ash, Pikachu and the gang meet Tory—a new friend who is afraid of Pokémon and their trainers. New fears surface when a mysterious aurora appears over the city along with Deoxys™—a Pokémon unlike any seen before. When a spectacular battle between Deoxys and Rayquaza begins, more than just Ash and Pikachu will be needed to stop it—it will take everyone.

It's quite sad Japan only have the latest movie available in Blu-Ray... I hope they'll start Blu-Ray re-releases for the 15th Anniversary, even though that doesn't look likely.

Has anyone watched the Blu-Ray for movie 5 and 7? Just how much better do they look?

They definitely look better than the DVD's. Recommend getting the set from Amazon as its currently only $19 for the Bluray on pre-order which is a pretty good deal for 4 movies.

Really? Then I might just buy the set. Since I'm not all that familiar with Amazon, will there be a converter from euros to dollars, or vice-versa? Do I have to use the official version of the site to buy it, since I can't seem to find it on the UK affiliate?

EDIT:

Ah, forget it, I noticed that it doesn't include japanese tracks, which is a big no-no for me.

Oh great. Why did they do this to me/people who already bought the movie 5 and 7 collection disc? Anyone wants to buy my copy? :p

Also, I won't be surprise if the 2.0ch audio for movie 5 and 7 and 5.1ch for movie 4 and 6 so everything can be fit on a BD50.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006ZL1P34/ is the link to the Bluray on Amazon. It is English dub only but the video quality should be pretty good. Can't really go wrong at that price. It's unfortunate that that are double dipping on these movies again. I'm kind of interested in seeing what the Movie 4 transfer is like. The Kids Station and TV Tokyo transfers are quite poor.
