So many young girls on the show recently; are they pushing for that demographic?

I think the Pokemon Company in general is trying to push for more girls. The recent TCG set for girls shows that they are trying to make the franchise more appealing to girls. I've always thought Pokemon was quite gender neutral.

The franchise was always reasonably gender-neutral, yes, but things such as the addition of a female playable character from Crystal on, and the contest quest in the AG and DP anime were very likely done to even out the gender appeal because the franchise wasn't as popular among girls as they wanted it to be.

Also Zoroark stayed behind at the Daycare Centre because he was busy fathering those eggs.
I have decided this.
