Missed a Pokémon GO Community Day this year? On December 21st and 22nd, 2024, Trainers can catch Pokémon from past Community Days!

Pokémon from Community Days in 2024 return for an end-of-the-year catch-a-thon celebration!

December Community Day 2024 - Saturday, December 21, and Sunday, December 22, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.

Event Bonuses

: 2× XP for catching Pokémon.
: 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
: 1/2 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event period.
: 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
: 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive XL Candy from catching Pokemon.
: Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
: Incense activated during the event will last for three hours.
: One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of three for the day.*
: Trades made will require 50% less Stardust.*

*While most bonuses are only active on December 21 and 22 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, these bonuses will be active from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time on those days.

Featured Pokémon

A different set of Pokémon will be featured on each event day—Saturday, December 21, 2024, and Sunday, December 22, 2024—from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. The Pokémon that appear during this time will have the same chance of appearing as a Shiny Pokémon as those that appeared during their original Community Days. Outside of these times, any of the featured Pokémon may appear from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time on either Saturday or Sunday!

Community Day Continued Timed Research

For December Community Day 2024, Trainers that log in between Saturday, December 21, at 9:00 a.m. and Sunday, December 22, 2024, at 9:00 p.m. local time will receive Timed Research awarding daily encounters with Community Day Pokémon from 2024 with Special Backgrounds.

Please note that Timed Research expires. The tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. local time.

Field Research

Field Research leading to encounters with Pokémon featured in previous Community Days in 2024 will be available. In addition, for December Community Day 2024, team up with your community and you might find rare Field Research leading to encounters with these featured Pokémon with Special Backgrounds—if you’re lucky!

Stickers

You’ll be able to get stickers from all of 2024’s Community Days by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, and purchasing them from the in-game shop.

PokéStop Showcases

Be on the lookout for Showcases at different PokéStops during the event where you can enter Pokémon featured in Community Day events in 2024.
