8 new Pokémon Utility Hole Covers, or PokéLid (Pokéfuta ポケふた) were unveiled for Fukushima Prefecture on September 30th, 2024. The new manholes feature Lucky, the Support Pokémon for the prefecture as well as other Pokémon and they will be installed in eight cities, towns, and villages in the prefecture! Illustrator Saya Tsuruta confirmed that they did the artwork for all 8 of these lids.

Each PokéLids is an original design and each is unique with the aim of promoting the appeal of Pokémon and each region they are installed in throughout Japan.

The PokéLids that are installed will gradually become PokéStops for the location-based game Pokémon GO for smartphones.
