Sleep Report: Good Sleep Day #11

How was your sleep research during the three-day Good Sleep Day event? Our sleep tends to be shorter and shallower during the full moon. However, we found that on the night of the full moon during this Good Sleep Day event, the average sleep duration of all you researchers around the world was 6 min. and 37 sec. longer than average.

6/22 (Sat): 7 hrs 47 min (+10 min)

This Month’s Sleep Tips

Here’s this month’s sleep tip! We hope all you researchers find this useful for your daily sleep.

Eat Breakfast and Get Some Sunlight within an Hour of Waking Up

The length of our biological clocks’ cycles varies from person to person, but according to the latest research, the average is about 24 hours and 10 minutes.

Our bodies are able to reset our biological clocks when we wake up, get some sun, and eat breakfast, and this helps our clocks’ cycles align with the day. Thus, eating breakfast within an hour of waking up is important for regulating our biological clocks. Even when we’re busy, skipping breakfast and waiting until lunch isn’t the best idea.

If you wake up feeling refreshed, start preparing in the morning to get good sleep the next night, too.
