To promote the reopening of the Pokémon Center Online website in Japan, the official Japanese Pokémon website announced that for a limited time, a Pokémon Center Online Pikachu (ポケモンセンターオンラインのピカチュウ) would be distributed to first time shoppers. A Pikachu Thank You Card (ピカチュウのサンクスカード) was included with shoppers orders that included a serial code to unlock the Pikachu in Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire. There was a limited number of cards but the present campaign ran from Tuesday, February 16th, 2016 until Sunday, May 22nd, 2016. Serial codes could be redeemed until August 31st, 2016.

Pikachu is level 10 and knows the moves: Surf, Fly, Agility and Celebrate.
