The official Japanese Pokémon website and the April 2012 issue of Corocoro first announced information on the Movie 15 pre-order ticket campaign. Players of Pokémon Black and White (ポケットモンスター ブラック・ホワイト) and Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 (ポケットモンスター ブラック2・ホワイト2) that pre-ordered their tickets for the movie from April 14th, 2012 until July 13th, 2012 could receive a Keldeo (ケルディオ) from June 23nd until August 31st, 2012.


The pre-order tickets for Pocket Monster Movie 15 - Kyurem VS the Sacred Swordsman Keldeo (キュレムVS聖剣士ケルディオ) cost 1300yen for general admission, youth admission was 800yen and a parent/child combo was 2000yen. The tickets could be purchased at participating: 7/11's, Ito-Yokado, Aeon, Aeon Supercenters, Toys 'R' Us, Apita, Piago, Al-Plaza, Heiwado, Daiei, Fuji, Pokémon Centers and Toho cinemas nationwide. If players purchased the ticket from 7/11, they needed to bring the voucher and movie ticket to a participating distribution location as Keldeo was not distributed at 7/11. Keldeo can not be received by non-Japanese versions of Black and White and it cannot be traded on the Global Trade Station.

This is the first time that Keldeo was made available to players of either game. Players that transfer or receive the Keldeo in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 could also unlock a Secret Sword Event. It occurs in the forest by the second town, Sanagi Town, resulting in Keldeo learning the special move Secret Sword. Immediately after learning the move, Keldeo will transform into its Resolution Form. Keldeo will be able to re-learn Secret Sword by doing this event again. Players can not trade a Resolution Form Keldeo to Black and White. If players wish to trade Keldeo to one of these games, they must revert it to its Usual Form by forgetting Secret Sword. To make Keldeo learn Secret Sword in Black and White, put Cobalon, Terrakion and Virizion on your team and head to the Moor of Sekka! However, this will not make Keldeo change to its Resolution Form.


Keldeo can change into a new form called its Resolution Form (かくごのすがた) only when it knows the move Secret Sword. When that move is replaced, Keldeo will revert back to its Usual form (いつものすがた).

Pocket Monsters Best Wishes 72

On the initial airing of Pocket Monsters Best Wishes 72 - The Donamite Begins! Zuruggu VS Yanakkie!! (ドンナマイト開幕! ズルッグVSヤナッキー！！) which aired on Thursday March 15th, 2012, the Live Caster segment was replaced with information on this Keldeo event. The box art for Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 (ポケットモンスター ブラック2・ホワイト2) was also shown during the special segment.

MoexKon Cover Black 2 White 2

From June 13th, 2012 until June 15th, 2012 on the Japanese public relations program MoexKon (もえ×こん) hosted by Moeko "Moe" Ueda (植田 萌子) and Asami "Kon" Konno (紺野あさ美), the show covered Pocket Monsters Black 2 White 2. On June 15th, 2012 show, a special guest　Murata-san (村田) discussed some of the new aspects of the games Pocket Monsters Black 2 White 2. Murata-san finished up the episode by revealing Keldeo can change into a new form called its Resolution Form (かくごのすがた). She also reminded viewers that they can get a Keldeo if they pre-order tickets for the 15th Pocket Monsters movie.

Pokémon Smash

Various episodes featured a reminder and coverage of the Keldeo event. These are some of the major highlights as the announcer also reminded viewers of the event on an almost weekly basis. In Pokémon Smash 89, Shoko-tan and Misaki revealed that Keldeo can change into a new form called its Resolution Form (かくごのすがた) only when it knows the move Secret Sword.


In Pokémon Smash 80, Shoko-tan revealed that she is the voice actor for Keldeo in the movie and that the OT for the Keldeo was 'Shoko-tan' (しょこたん)

World Hobby Fair 2012 Summer

The World Hobby Fair 2012 Summer was held at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Halls 9-11 on June 29th, 2012 and June 30th, 2012. A section of the Pokémon exhibit had advanced tickets for the 15th movie and people could get Keldeo as it was distributed there.
