Ash and co. have arrived at a Pokémon Center. It doesn't look like a Pokémon Center, but it has the letter "P" on it. Ash opens the door. Four Gastly pop out from inside, and they float away. Dawn looks up Gastly in her Pokédex. With the Gastly gone, Ash and co. decide to check out the Pokémon Center. They walk inside and notice that it is empty. Dawn wonders if Nurse Joy is in the next room. Ash opens the door. They find themselves in a kitchen. Ash notices a big tray on the table. He smells something good and decides to take a peek. A girl comes out with a broom. She thinks that Ash is trying to steal her food, so she hits him with the broom. Ash and co. try to tell the girl that they aren't criminals, but the girl doesn't believe them. Suddenly, Nurse Joy along with another girl walks in the door. Brock is excited to see Nurse Joy until the girl refers to Nurse Joy as "Mommy". Brock knows that he can't win Nurse Joy's heart now. Nurse Joy welcomes everyone to the Pokémon Center.

The family treats Ash and co. to a nice meal. The girl feels bad for hitting Ash earlier. She introduces herself as Paige. Her older sister walks in and introduces herself as Marny. They both want to become Nurse Joys and help their mother when they get older. Ash and co. decide to help the two sisters with becoming good nurses. They all start off with some work around the house. Paige notices that her dad forgot his lunch again. Marny states that her Drifloon can bring it to him. Three Drifloon appear. Dawn looks up Drifloon in her Pokédex. Marny decides to deliver dad's lunch. Paige wants to go too, but Marny insists that she delivers the lunch herself since Paige is still too young. This makes Paige upset. Nurse Joy stops the fighting by telling Paige to deliver some cookies to the forest Pokémon. Paige gladly takes the job. Marny then takes off with her Drifloon.

Paige asks Ash if he would like to deliver the cookies with her. Ash says yes, and the two head into the forest and give cookies to all the Pokémon. Ash notices that Paige has a lot of Pokémon friends. Paige explains to Ash that she is friends with one Pokémon that is super cool. Ash wants to know what the Pokémon is, but Paige tells him that she isn't allowed to tell. However, Paige decides to show Ash the Pokémon instead.

Paige leads Ash through a cave and up to a lake. She calls out for her friend, but no one answers. Paige tells Ash that she is friends with a Suicune. This surprises Ash because Suicune is a legendary Pokémon. He looks up Suicune in his Pokédex. Ash is still not sure if Paige is friends with a Suicune or not, but Paige tells him that Suicune comes and plays with her and Marny all the time.

Marny's dad is working at a power plant with his Ampharos. Marny comes moments later to deliver his lunch. Team Rocket is behind the bushes near the power plant. James is hungry. Meowth ignores James and replies that they can capture Ampharos for the boss. Marny gives the lunch to her father. Her father thanks Marny for the lunch. He offers to walk Marny home because a storm is on its way, and it would be dangerous to fly back with the Drifloon. Marny agrees.

Suddenly, a net is casted out and it captures Ampharos. Team Rocket appears in their balloon, and they say their motto. Ampharos uses its Thunder attack. The electric attack shocks Team Rocket, and they blast off again. Unfortunately, the explosion from the balloon damaged some of the power lines. Meanwhile, Brock and Dawn have finished helping Nurse Joy at the Pokémon Center. Ash and Paige come in reporting that all the cookies have been delivered. Suddenly, the power goes out. Nurse Joy suspects that there might be a problem at the Valley Windworks power plant, the place where Marny and her father are at. Paige is worried that something bad might have happened to them. Nurse Joy plans on going to the power plant herself, and Paige wants to come along too. Nurse Joy tells Paige that she has to stay behind. This makes Paige upset, and she runs outside. Pikachu chases after her. Nurse Joy gets on her bicycle, and she rides on over to the power plant. Suddenly, they hear a cry. Ash and co. run over and see Paige trying to take flight on her Drifloon. Pikachu is pulling on Paige's foot. Ash tells Paige to get back down, but Paige wants to help her mother out badly. The strong wind picks up and blows Drifloon, Paige, and Pikachu into the sky.

Nurse Joy met up with her husband and Marny at the power plant. Marny's father has finished fixing the power plant issue, and the electricity is restored. Ash and Brock soon run up to them. Ash asks Nurse Joy if Paige ever made it up to the power plant. Nurse Joy says no. Ash and Brock tell them story about what happened to Paige and Pikachu. Marny wants to fly with her Drifloon to search for Paige and Pikachu, but her father tells her no. The Drifloon begin to blow away. Ash quickly grabs them and flys with them. He decides to find Paige and Pikachu. Marny's father suggests that everyone takes his car and follows them.

Paige and Pikachu have landed somewhere in the mountains. They are completely lost. Suddenly, it begins to rain. Lightning soon comes afterwards. Paige is scared now. Meanwhile, Nurse Joy, her husband, Brock, Dawn, and Marny are all riding in a van up the mountains. They soon come to a few boulders that block the road. Brock asks if there is another path that they can take. Marny's father says that there is, but it is the long way around the mountain. Ash finds Paige in the mountains. Him and the Drifloon land, and Ash runs up and makes sure that Paige is alright.

Ampharos uses its Thunderpunch on the boulders. Unfortunately, the attack only leaves a scratch. Because they can't break the boulders, the group has to now walk it. Marny's father thinks Brock, Dawn, and Marny should wait in the van. Brock and Dawn insists in letting them help. Suddenly, Marny gets an idea. She begins to run back stating that she has something that she needs to do.

Ash and Paige have found shelter in a cave. Ash reassures Paige that everything will be okay. Meanwhile, Marny is back on the ground. The lightning strikes two trees, and they fall in front of her. This scares Marny a bit, but she keeps on running knowing that Paige is counting on her. Marny runs all the way to Suicune's lair. She calls out for Suicune, hoping that it will help her rescue Paige. Meanwhile, Ash and Paige are walking in the mountains in search for everyone else. Unfortunately, the fog is very thick, so it is hard to see. They soon walk up to the end of the mountain. At the other side is the rest of the road, and a big log separates the two sides. They have no choice but to cross it. Meanwhile, Marny is still hoping that Suicune will come and help. She gets no response, so it's up to her to save Paige herself. Suddenly, a white light glows and Suicune walks out.

Ash and Paige continue to slowly cross the log. Pikachu has already made it to the other side, and it's only a few more steps away for Ash and Paige. Suddenly, the log breaks, and Ash and Paige begin to fall. Suicune, however, jumps out and rescues them. Marny, who was riding on top of Suicune, gets off and hugs her little sister. They all thank Suicune. Suddenly, the voices of the rest of the group are heard. Paige calls out for them, and Nurse Joy, her husband, Dawn, and Brock come running over. Paige and Nurse Joy hug each other. Everyone is now back together, so now it's time for everyone to go home.

Meanwhile, at night Team Rocket is dragging their foot on the road. They look up and find themselves face to face with Suicune. Team Rocket becomes excited again, and they all want to capture it. They run over to Suicune. Suicune, however, uses its Aurora Beam attack on them, and Team Rocket blasts off again.
