Summary
Ash and co. are continuing their way towards the Battle Pyramid where Ash will have a rematch with Brandon. Ash can't wait to have his rematch. Even Aipom, who is on top of Ash's head, is excited. Ash and co. finally have come to the end of the forest. They are glad to see the sun again and smell the fresh air. Pikachu and Aipom jump off of Ash, and they dance around on the ground. Ash tells Aipom not to wonder off. Aipom walks around the grass and smells the flowers. Ash and co. could also use a rest. They sit themselves on the ground. Aipom then walks into some thicker grass. Pikachu tries to find Aipom. Aipom notices that it has gone too far, and now it is lost. Suddenly, a gust of wind picks up. Aipom looks behind and sees a Weavile.

Aipom and Weavile face each other. Weavile fires a Shadow Ball at Aipom, but Aipom dodges the attack. Ash and co. hear the explosion of the Shadow Ball from a distance. Ash notices that Aipom is missing, so they run off to search for Aipom. Moments later, Ash and co. find Aipom. Max notices the Weavile, and May looks up Weavile in her Pokédex. Ash thinks Weavile wants to battle. Weavile fires a Shadow Ball at Ash and co. Ash and co. duck for cover. Weavile then jumps up and uses Shadow Ball again. Ash tells Pikachu to use Thunderbolt. Pikachu fires the attack, but Weavile quickly dodges it. Then Weavile uses Shadow Ball again and hits Pikachu. Aipom wants to battle next. Aipom uses Swift, but with quick speed, Weavile dodges Aipom's attack, too. Then Aipom uses Double Team. Weavile gets angry because it doesn't know which Aipom is real. Aipom then uses Swift. Weavile dodges the attack again and fires another Shadow Ball. The attack hits the real Aipom, knocking it out. Everyone rushes to Aipom and makes sure it is okay. When the group looks out again, Weavile is gone.

Suddenly, a man runs up to Ash and co. He tells them that Aipom needs some help. He picks up Aipom and runs away, and Ash and co. follow him. Meanwhile, Team Rocket is hiding behind the thick grass. They admire the Weavile's strength because it was able to knock out Ash's Aipom. Jessie wants to capture the Weavile for herself. She has somehow fallen in love with the Weavile. This gets Meowth upset because he thinks the Weavile should go to the boss.

The man leads Ash and co. back to his house, and he puts Aipom into bed. His name is Garrigan, and it is his job to watch over the forest. Ash and co. introduce themselves to Garrigan. Brock wants to know the story with Weavile. Garrigan tells him that the Weavile is a stray Pokémon. It used to live with a group of other Weavile and Sneasel, but at one point it left the group and lived on its own. Then whenever a trainer with Pokémon walks by, Weavile always battles them. Garrigan decides to go out into the area and investigate. Ash and co. want to come along too even though they know it's dangerous.

Meanwhile, Weavile is standing on top of a tree branch. He recalls a time when it was raining and left the group. A Sneasel tried to get Weavile to stay, but Weavile wouldn't look back. Ash and co. enter the area where Weavile are suppose to live. Ash doesn't see any right now. Max asks Pikachu to sense Weavile's scent. Pikachu senses something and runs off, and Ash and co. follows it.

Weavile is staring at the spring of water. Suddenly, Meowth comes up to it. Meowth is dressed up as a Weavile. Jessie and James are hiding behind the bushes. James doesn't think their plan will work, but Jessie is sure that it will work. Weavile and Meowth begin to talk to each other. Weavile thinks Meowth is a fake. Weavile says a few words to Meowth which makes Meowth scared. Meowth runs back to Jessie and James and tells them that Weavile will hit him with a Shadow Ball if he trespasses again. Jessie doesn't like the idea that Meowth is being a coward, but Meowth doesn't want to get hurt.

Ash and co. find Weavile near the spring of water. Pikachu walks up to Weavile, and both Pokémon begin talking to each other. Meowth translates the conversation for Jessie and James. Pikachu wants to know why Weavile is doing this, but Weavile refuses to tell Pikachu. Then Meowth isn't able to translate the rest. Jessie stands up and tells Meowth that he is a bad Pokémon. Ash and co. notice Jessie. Team Rocket comes out and they say their motto. When they are done, Jessie walks up to Weavile and prods it. Max thinks Jessie is really weird.

Suddenly, a Sneasel pops out of the bushes. Garrigan recognizes the Sneasel from being from the Sneasel group. Sneasel talks to Weavile. Meowth translates their conversation. Apparently, the Sneasel is escaping from its tribe. Not long ago, another Weavile came and challenged this Weavile for leadership. The second Weavile won, and the previous Weavile turned into a stray. Because Sneasel was sick of being pushed around, it decided to leave the tribe.

Suddenly, the Weavile tribe approaches the whole group. The tribe has been trying to track down Sneasel. Sneasel hides behind Weavile. Jessie is angry that Sneasel is hiding behind "her" Weavile. Jessie really wants the Weavile. She runs up to it. Weavile blasts Team Rocket off with a Shadow Ball. The evil Weavile (the one with the current leadership) smiles. Ash tells the good Weavile to beat the evil one. The tribe of Weavile then surrounds the good Weavile and Sneasel. Pikachu uses Thunderbolt on the tribe. All that's left is the evil Weavile. That battle between both Weavile is about to commence.

The battle starts. Both Weavile run side by side. The evil Weavile jumps up and fires a Shadow Ball out. The good Weavile dodges and fires its Shadow Ball at the evil one. The evil one dodges, and the Shadow Ball lands in the water. Then the evil Weavile comes out of the water. It hurls its body towards the good one. The evil Weavile is about to hit the good one with a Slash attack, but the good one blocks off the attack. Then the good Weavile pushes the evil one into the water. It then fires another Shadow Ball at the water. The evil Weavile quickly jumps to the side and dodges the Shadow Ball. The good Weavile then jumps up into the air. The evil Weavile fires a Shadow Ball at the good Weavile. The good Weavile remembers this same trick as before. It dodges the Shadow Ball and grabs onto the evil Weavile's claws. Then the good Weavile throws the evil Weavile to the ground. The good Weavile gets on top of the evil one. It is about to use Slash, but then stops. The good Weavile knows the battle is over, and that it can claim leadership again.

Sneasel runs up to both Weavile. It takes each of their claws and places them together so that both Weavile can shake hands. Both Weavile are happy. The Weavile and Sneasel reunite again. Garrigan is glad that everything is together again because now his job will be a lot easier. Weavile then thanks Ash for the things he said, and then the tribe walks away.

Ash and co. arrive back at Garrigan's house. They thank Garrigan for letting them come along on the adventure. Aipom is doing much better. Then Ash and co. wave goodbye to Garrigan, and they continue their way to the Battle Pyramid.

English Official Summary

On the way to Fennel Valley, Ash's Aipom scampers away and runs into a Weavile with an attitude. Aipom's up for a battle, but Weavile deals it a harsh defeat! Luckily, Ash and his friends meet a passing wilderness guardian named Kerrigan, who lets Aipom rest at his home. Kerrigan explains that the Weavile belonged to a local group of Weavile and Sneasel, but now it's alone and challenges any Trainer's Pokémon it sees. Ash resolves to help Kerrigan find the stray Weavile before anyone else is hurt. Team Rocket wants to find Weavile, but once they do, it's not interested in joining their gang. Ash and his friends can't seem to get through to the Weavile, either. Then a Sneasel shows up on the scene, and the truth comes out! The stray Weavile was leader of the Weavile and Sneasel group, until another Weavile came and beat it in a battle for leadership. However, the new leader turned out to be a bully, and so Sneasel left the group as well. That's when the Weavile leader shows up to bring Sneasel back. Ash challenges the stray Weavile to stand up for itself and help Sneasel, and both Weavile decide to battle. The stray Weavile comes out the winner and becomes leader once again. The losing Pokémon won't be left out in the cold this time, because Sneasel asks both Weavile to cooperate with each other—and they agree! Now the forest will once again be at peace, and our heroes can continue their journey to Ash's rematch with Brandon!

Eyecatch Pre-episode Message

In order to alert the viewers that the episode is about to start, a special eyecatch was used. The eyecatch is a countdown towards the beginning of the episode and contains scenes from previous AG openings, Advance Adventure and Pokémon Symphonic Medley. The split-screen scenes with Haruka and Takeshi were updated versions of the Advance Adventure ones that reflected the changes in the characters' Pokémon teams. More specifically, the scene that depicted Takeshi's Mizugorou and Takeshi's Hassboh was replaced with a scene from Takeshi's Numacraw's battle against Satoshi's Juptile that took place in AG149, while the scene that depicted Haruka's Achamo and Haruka's Agehunt was replaced with a scene from Haruka's Gonbe's battle against Shiromi's Rafflesia that took place in AG151. The countdown ends with Satoshi reciting his catchphrase, "Get Pokémon!" (ポケモンゲットだぜ!, Pokémon getto da ze! ).

Special First-Airing Segment Movie Preview

The first airing of this episode included another installment of the "Pokémon Ranger and the Prince of the Sea Manaphy Full-Force Scoop" segment, hosted by the ovie Campaign Boys, Robert. They started the segment by introducing themselves, and Akiyama asked if you had seen the movie yet, before saying they had scoops for both those who have and those who have yet to do so.

Baba introduced this week's scene, which showed the interior of Phantom's giant submarine. Akiyama explains that Phantom is the pirate who chases after Manaphy, and that he's really a high-tech pirate who has tons of different mechs as his disposal.

Baba introduces a collection of these different machines, which includes the aforementioned giant submarine, the "Phantom", as well as a smaller submarine, an underwater bike, as well as several types of helicopters.

As we cut back to Robert, Akiyama pretends he's a robot, while Baba tells us to check out the movie to see these cool mechs in action.
