Summary
Combusken is surrounded by bubbles, and it performs a Sky Uppercut attack. Flygon dodges the attack, and Absol hits Combusken with Razor Wind. Combusken is sent flying back and hits Squirtle. Both of May's Pokémon are weakened. Brock has noticed that Absol's Razor Wind damaged May's Pokémon a lot. Flygon then uses Flamethrower, and Combusken counters with Fire Spin. Both fire attacks collide in each other creating an explosion, weakening Flygon and Combusken. The judges are really attracted to the battle now. May has noticed that Drew's Pokémon are better than last time, but she still wants to beat him. Drew calls out for a Dragon formation. Ash and co. are skeptical of what Drew plans to do. Absol uses Razor Wind, and Flygon uses Dragonbreath. This combination of attacks directly hits May's Pokémon. Everyone including Harley and Team Rocket thought Drew did a nice job preparing for that attack. Then Flygon uses Steel Wing, and Absol uses Iron Tail. Even though Drew's Pokémon are strong, May has some good combinations to still use. She tells Combusken to use Fire Spin, and Squirtle to use Bubble. This powerful combination creates a fiery whirlwind. Ash remembers that combination from Tucker at the Battle Dome. Harley hates May even more because of this.

Absol uses Flash, and Squirtle uses Rapid Spin. Squirtle hides in its shell while light is shined. Combusken is blinded by the light, but Squirtle is protected because it is in its shell. Squirtle spins towards Absol, but Flygon protects Absol with its Steel Wing. Squirtle jumps up and avoids Flygon's attack. Absol uses Razor Wind, but Combusken counters with Fire Spin. Then Squirtle uses Bubble which hits Flygon. Afterwards, Squirtle hits Flygon with Ice Beam, knocking it out. With that, Absol hits Squirtle with Iron Tail. Squirtle slams into the back wall and faints.

Drew and May now only have one Pokémon left. Drew and May return their Pokémon back into their Pokéballs, and the battle starts again with only two minutes left. Combusken uses Mega Kick, and Absol uses Iron Tail. Both Pokémon collide into each other. However, Absol fires a Razor Wind out which hits Combusken. May tells Combusken to use Fire Spin, but Absol extinguishes the fire out with its Water Pulse attack. Combusken is also hit by the Water Pulse attack. Suddenly, Combusken begins to give off a tremendous amount of heat. It's body blinks with a darker red color. May knows what Combusken is doing. Absol uses Razor Wind, but May calls out for an Overheat attack. Combusken fires an enormous fireball at Absol. Absol is weakened, but it is still hanging in there.

Drew is still in the lead. Brock states that the bad thing about Overheat is that it gets weaker every time you use it. Both coordinators want to win badly. Combusken uses Overheat again. Absol dodges the attack and uses Water Pulse. The water burns out the fire. Then Absol uses Flash. Combusken dodges the attack by spinning just like Squirtle did before and faces Absol. Combusken uses Overheat again. Absol is surrounded by the flames, but it manages to escape from it. May knows that Drew has raised his Pokémon very well since it can resist attacks like Overheat. Drew knows that Overheat is getting weaker. Absol uses Razor Wind which hits Combusken directly. Combusken falls to the ground causing May to lose more points.

Each coordinator only has a few points left, and the clock is ticking. Absol uses Water Pulse again. Combusken uses Overheat, but it isn't powerful enough. The water crashes on Combusken, however Combusken is still standing. Absol uses Iron Tail, and Combusken uses Sky Uppercut. Combusken manages to hit Absol with its attack. Absol is still standing when the time limit runs out. May has more points, so she wins the battle. Ash and co. are happy that May finally won against Drew. Brock notices that May's battle skills have come a long way. Drew and May congratulate their Pokémon. Even the judges were impressed.

Aipom dances and steals Ash's hat again. Ash, Max, and Brock chase after Aipom. Aipom leads them outside and throws Ash his hat. Then Aipom tells Ash that it wants to have a battle. Ash accepts Aipom's challenge. He tells Pikachu to use Quick Attack. Pikachu charges towards Aipom, but Aipom dodges Pikachu's attack. Aipom then hits Pikachu with its Swift attack. Pikachu gets up and uses Iron Tail, but Aipom dodges the attack and hits Pikachu with Focus Punch. Ash is more excited to capture Aipom since it is strong. Pikachu hits Aipom with its Thunderbolt attack. Then Ash throws a Pokéball at Aipom. Ash successfully captures Aipom in the Pokéball. They notice that a lot of people have crowded around Ash and co. Even Scott walks up to Ash.

May is busy feeding Combusken and the rest of her Pokémon. Drew walks up to May and congratulates her. They just found out that Solidad will also be moving up to the semi-finals. Drew warns May that Solidad is really good. In the semi-finals, Solidad almost has May beat. Munchlax uses Focus Punch, but Slowbro counters with Psychic. Then Combusken uses Flamethrower on Solidad's Pidgeot. However, Pidgeot strikes with Featherdance. Then Slowbro uses Yawn, putting Combusken to sleep. Ash and co. notice that the battle is getting worse for May. Scott explains that Solidad is leading May to attack, and then she just dodges the attacks. It is a strategically way to win the battle. Solidad also realized that dazzling attacks won't work on May.

Pidgeot uses Aerial Ace, and Slowbro uses Hyper Beam. Both attacks hit May's Pokémon, knocking them out. Solidad is the winner. May faces Solidad. She is feeling down right now. When May walks back, her friends greet her. May is about to cry. Ash, Brock, and Max congratulate May for making it to the top four. Tears roll down on May's face. Ash and Brock place their hands on May's shoulder to comfort her.

Solidad managed to get past the final round. She is the Grand Festival winner and is awarded with the big trophy. The after party begins. Drew starts his way back home. May runs outside to catch up with Drew. They both face each other and smile. Then they wave goodbye to each other. Ash and co. meet up with May. May tells Ash that it is time to head off to the Battle Pyramid. Scott tells Ash the city that Brandon is in at the moment. Max looks at his PokeNav and sees that the city is not too far from the Indigo Plateau. Now Ash and co. get ready for the Battle Pyramid.

Russian Official Summary

Eyecatch Pre-episode Message

In order to alert the viewers that the episode is about to start, a special eyecatch was used. The eyecatch is a countdown towards the beginning of the episode and contains scenes from previous AG openings, Advance Adventure and Pokémon Symphonic Medley. The split-screen scenes with Haruka and Takeshi were updated versions of the Advance Adventure ones that reflected the changes in the characters' Pokémon teams. More specifically, the scene that depicted Takeshi's Mizugorou and Takeshi's Hassboh was replaced with a scene from Takeshi's Numacraw's battle against Satoshi's Juptile that took place in AG149, while the scene that depicted Haruka's Achamo and Haruka's Agehunt was replaced with a scene from Haruka's Gonbe's battle against Shiromi's Rafflesia that took place in AG151. The countdown ends with Satoshi reciting his catchphrase, "Get Pokémon!" (ポケモンゲットだぜ!, Pokémon getto da ze! ).
