Ikari is a Pokémon Ping-Pong player that is based off of the character Ryūichi Kazama / Dragon (風間 竜一/ドラゴン) from the sports manga Ping Pong. His personality is very competitive and he won a tournament in the Kalos region against Ilima.

He participated in a tournament in the Alola region where he was defeated in the finals by Ilima. He vowed to win the next time but told Ilima not to lose to anyone else.
