One day, Lauren accidentally dropped her glasses into the water and Gureggru retrieved them for her before Lauren's Piplup could get to them. From that day on, they became partners much to the dismay of Pochama.

It competed in an Ice Floe Race in the Sinnoh Region where it almost won the race except Rocket Gang interfered and it had to help save Lauren from falling off the boat into the sea.
