Nemona

Image

Nemona has a sunny, energetic disposition and is passionate about Pokémon battles. She’s an experienced Pokémon Trainer and serves as a friend and reliable guide for players on their adventures.

On their journey, players will encounter many never-before-seen Pokémon, and among them are the following three, which Nemona uses on her team.

Sprigatito

Image

Capricious and attention seeking, it may sulk if it sees its Trainer giving attention to a Pokémon other than itself.

When Sprigatito kneads and rubs with its forepaws, a sweet aroma is released that can mesmerize those around it. This aroma has therapeutic qualities and makes opponents lose their will to battle. The composition of its fluffy fur is similar to plants, letting it create energy by absorbing sunlight. It adds moisture to its fur by grooming itself, which aids its ability to photosynthesize.

  • Category: Grass Cat Pokémon
  • Type: Grass
  • Height: 1'4"
  • Weight: 9 lbs.
  • Ability: Overgrow

Fuecoco

Image

Fuecoco is laid-back and does things at its own pace. It loves to eat, and it will sprint toward any food it finds with a glint in its eye.

External heat is absorbed by the square scales on Fuecoco’s stomach and back, then converted into fire energy. These scales are always warm, and at times they can also grow very hot. Flickering atop Fuecoco’s head is fire energy that is leaking out from inside the Pokémon’s body. When Fuecoco gets excited, its head spouts more flames.

  • Category: Fire Croc Pokémon
  • Type: Fire
  • Height: 1'4"
  • Weight: 21.6 lbs.
  • Ability: Blaze

Quaxly

Image

This serious-mannered Pokémon will follow in its Trainer’s wake. Quaxly is tidy, and it especially dislikes getting its head dirty.

Its body is always glossy because the gel secreted by its feathers repels water and grime. The coif on its head is slicked back using a rich, moist cream, and it becomes unkempt when dry. It has strong legs and can swim without difficulty even in places with strong currents. In battle, it kicks its opponents swiftly and repeatedly.

  • Category: Duckling Pokémon
  • Type: Water
  • Height: 1'8"
  • Weight: 13.4 lbs.
  • Ability: Torrent

Pawmi

Image

In addition to the electric sacs in its cheeks, Pawmi has electricity-discharging organs on its forepaws. It generates electricity by rubbing its cheeks, then it shocks its opponents by touching them with the pads on its forepaws.

The fur that covers its body is good insulation against the cold and serves the purpose of storing electricity. When it feels uneasy, this cautious Pokémon will begin rubbing its cheeks, preparing itself to discharge an electric shock.

  • Category: Mouse Pokémon
  • Type: Electric
  • Height: 1'
  • Weight: 5.5 lbs.
  • Ability: Static / Natural Cure

Lechonk

Image

Lechonk uses its sense of smell to find and eat only the most fragrant wild grasses and the richest Berries. As a result of its dining habits, it has come to radiate an aroma resembling herbs that Bug-type Pokémon dislike. If attacked by an opponent and startled, it will charge forward in a panic.

It may appear fat at first glance, but in reality, the Pokémon’s body is mostly muscle built by constantly walking around in search of food.

  • Category: Hog Pokémon
  • Type: Normal
  • Height: 1'8"
  • Weight: 22.5 lbs.
  • Ability: Aroma Veil / Gluttony

Smoliv

Image

The oil that comes out of its head has a very strong bitter taste, and it is not suitable for consumption.
When startled or attacked, Smoliv will shoot this oil out, slowing its opponent down. It will then seize that moment to run away.

In the fruit on its head, Smoliv stores oil made from nutrients it gathers through photosynthesis. As a result, it can go for a week without eating or drinking. It prefers dry and sunny climates, and it seems to spend its days sunbathing.

  • Category: Olive Pokémon
  • Type: Grass/Normal
  • Height: 1'
  • Weight: 14.3 lbs.
  • Ability: Early Bird

Fidough

image

Fidough's skin has elastic qualities and is both firm and soft at the same time. When these Pokémon become excited, they intimidate their opponents by puffing up their bodies to appear bigger. Fidough ferments things in its vicinity using the yeast in its breath. The yeast is useful for cooking, so this Pokémon has been protected by people since long ago.
  • Category: Puppy Pokémon
  • Type: Fairy
  • Height: 1'
  • Weight: 24 lbs.
  • Ability: Own Tempo

Paldean Wooper

image

In ancient times, Wooper lived underwater in the Paldea region. After losing in a struggle for territory, it seems they began living in bogs on land. To keep from drying out while living on land, they began to cover their bodies with a poisonous film. Their gills have hardened thanks to living on land for so long. Their bodies are heavy and they move slowly, but they can protect themselves by shooting powerful poisonous liquid from their gills.
  • Category: Poison Fish Pokémon
  • Type: Poison/Ground
  • Height: 1'4"
  • Weight: 24.3 lbs.
  • Ability: Poison Point / Water Absorb

Cetitan

image

Cetitan need to have tough muscles to be able to support their immense bodies, and physical attacks using their bodies have incredible power. They also migrate around the snowy regions, protected by a thick layer of fat.
  • Category: Tera Whale Pokémon
  • Type: Ice
  • Height: 14'9"
  • Weight: 1,543.2 lbs.
  • Ability: Thick Fat / Slush Rush

Koraidon and Miraidon

Image Image
Koraidon | Miraidon

Koraidon and Miraidon grace the covers of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, respectively.

Koraidon is a Legendary Pokémon you can meet in Pokémon Scarlet, and Miraidon is a Legendary Pokémon you can meet in Pokémon Violet. These two Pokémon are said to have powers that far surpass those of other Pokémon, but details about Koraidon and Miraidon are still shrouded in mystery.

New Forms Discovered for the Legendary Pokémon Koraidon and Miraidon

image

Players will meet a Legendary Pokémon—either Koraidon or Miraidon—and it will join them on their journey. Koraidon and Miraidon are full of mystery and are said to have power that far surpasses that of other Pokémon. These Pokémon can change their forms to better suit what they're doing or what terrain they're traveling over.
  • Sprinting Build / Drive Mode: Players can ride Sprinting Build Koraidon or Drive Mode Miraidon, making it easier to traverse the expansive Paldea region more freely.
  • Swimming Build / Aquatic Mode: Players will be able to jump into rivers, lakes and vibrant oceans to approach the Pokémon that live there or cross perilous waters in a snap by riding Swimming Build Koraidon or Aquatic Mode Miraidon.
  • Gliding Build / Glide Mode: Players can jump from mountains, towering cliffs or tall buildings and glide toward their destination.

Paldea Region

image

Players will start their adventure in the Paldea region, a land of vast open spaces dotted with lakes, towering peaks, wastelands, and mountain ranges. Players will find lots of people and Pokémon living together in a variety of locations, ranging froma farming village with bountiful harvests to a port town with a bustling marketplace. There are also Pokémon living in treetops, rivers, and other locations in the wilderness.

In the center of Paldea sits the largest city in the region: Mesagoza. It's here that players will find either Naranja Academy or Uva Academy. In Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, the name of the school, its emblem, and its uniforms and other details will differ depending on which version of the game is played.

The Pokédex will be loaded on the Rotom Phone as an app. Players will be able to see a map of the entire Paldea region in the map app, which will show their current location. Players will also see all kinds of information, like nearby towns, Pokémon Centers and wild Pokémon.

Terastal Phenomenon

image

This phenomenon is found only in the Paldea region and makes Pokémon shine and glimmer like gems.
When a Pokémon Terastallizes, a Tera Jewel appears above the Pokémon's head like a crown, and the Pokémon's body glistens like a cut gemstone.

All Pokémon in Paldea can Terastallize to gain special powers, and Terastallization allows players to enhance their battle strategies by increasing the power of any moves that have the same type as their Pokémon's Tera Type. There are 18 types, meaning there are countless combinations of Pokémon and Tera Types.

Players can Terastallize a Pokémon once per battle and the transformation will last until the battle ends. Players will need a Tera Orb to Terastallize a Pokémon, which will need to be recharged after each use. Players can charge their Tera Orb by touching crystals overflowing with Terastal energy or by going to a Pokémon Center.

Tera Raid Battles

Tera Raid Battles occur in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet when three other players team up to take on a Terastallized wild Pokémon. Trainers can find other players to participate in a Tera Raid Battle through the Tera Raid Battle option, then choose to recruit allies or join someone else's raid. To have a battle together with friends a player already knows, they'll need to set a Link Code. This battle system has a time limit and allows players to continue attacking seamlessly without having to wait for other Trainers to choose their actions.

Poké Portal & the Union Circle

In Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, players can trade and battle with Trainers all over the world by using a feature called the Poké Portal.

  • Trading: In the Poké Portal, a Link Trade lets players trade with a specific person. With a Surprise Trade, after choosing a Pokémon to trade, players will be able to trade with a random Trainer somewhere in the world.
  • Battling: In the Link Battle option in the Poké Portal, players will be able to have Pokémon battles with other Pokémon Trainers.

Additionally, with the new Union Circle feature added to the Poké Portal, a player and up to three friends can adventure together in the same space.

Features:

  • Embark on a new Pokémon adventure in an open-world setting
  • Explore freely through a rich and expansive new region
  • Discover Pokémon all over the region - in the skies, in the seas, in the forests, on the streets, and more!
