Description:

Pokémon Colosseum (ポケモンコロシアム) was the first full RGP Gamecube title released. It was released first in Japan on November 21, 2003 and sold for 5800 Yen. Unlike the previous Pokémon Stadium games, Pokémon Colosseum featured a full storyline to complement the in-game battles. Players could also catch Pokémon similar to the handheld versions of Pokémon.

The game features two seperate modes: RPG Mode and Colosseum Mode. RPG Mode is the main storyline version of the game which stars Wes in the Orre Region as he attempts to discover the plot behind Team Snagem's Snagem Machines. The Colosseum Mode allows you to go right into battle against the computer in single player mode or versus your friends in a multiplayer match.

Story/Information:

The game takes place in the Orre region (オーレ地方), a desert wasteland that has been overrun with rampant crime. The game starts of showing Wes (レオ Leo) planting a bomb in the Team Snagem (スナッチ団) hideout, taking a miniature Snag Machine and racing out as the hideout explodes. Shortly after reports coming in that the large Team Snagem Snag Machine was destroyed in the explosion.

Along the way, Wes meets up with a girl called Rui (ミレイ Mirei) and together they track down some suspicious Pokémon. Eventually they learn that Shadow Pokémon are Pokémon whose hearts have been artificially closed and that the Snag Machine can be used to capture these Pokémon.

Finally, after a long journey through Orre, Wes and Rui arrive at Realgam Tower. They meet a man named Nascour (ジャキラ Jakira) who is angry at Wes and Rui and vows that he will be avenged. After Wes defeats all of the trainers and then Nascour, they are be interrupted by Es Cade, (バックレー Backley) the mayor of Phenac City. Es Cade then reveals himself to be Evice, the secret head of the Cipher organization, and battles Wes. When Wes defeats him, Evice attempts to escape by helicopter, but the legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh appears and blasts the helicopter out of the sky.
