The official Pokémon website has announced the
Spooky Cup (トリックリリック) for Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield.
Our 8th Generation Online Competitions page has been updated with these details.
Bring Your Spookiest Pokémon to the Spooky Cup Competition
Load up your team with your most spine-chilling Pokémon and take on other
Pokémon Sword and
Pokémon Shield players.
Just in time for the Halloween season comes a
Pokémon Sword and
Pokémon Shield in-game competition in which only the
spookiest Pokémon can participate. The aptly named Spooky Cup has Trainers
taking part in Double Battles with their scariest-looking Pokémon partners. As
an added twist, only the final evolved forms of Pokémon can battle—for example,
you can have Crobat on your team, but not Zubat or Golbat. Trainers who
participate in at least one Battle, regardless of whether they win or lose, will
earn 50 Battle Points, so assemble your best team and prepare for a challenge!
