The official Japanese Pokémon website has posted a notice indicating that due to the Japanese government issuing a State of Emergency in regards to COVID-19 cases in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto and Hyogo prefectures, Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Stores, Pokémon Cafes and Pikachu Sweets stores will be temporarily closed in those areas. Our list of COVID-19 related cancellations has been updated.

Notice of Temporary Closure of the Pokémon Center and Pokémon Stores due to the Emergency Declaration

In response to the State of Emergency issued by the Japanese government, the Pokémon Center and Pokémon Stores in the affected areas (Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto and Hyogo prefectures) will be temporarily closed from Sunday, April 25th, 2021 until the State of Emergency is lifted.

Pokémon Center Tokyo DX & Pokémon Cafe
Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo & Pikachu Sweets
Pokémon Center Shibuya
Pokémon Center Skytree Town
Pokémon Center Center Kyoto
Pokémon Center Osaka DX & Pokémon Cafe
Pokémon Center Osaka

List of Pokémon Store Closures:

Pokémon Store Tokyo Station
Pokémon Store Itami Airport
Pokémon Store Kansai Airport

The City League Additional Season scheduled to be held at the Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo and the Pokémon Center Osaka on May 1st, 2021 and May 3rd, 2021 will be cancelled due to the closure of the facilities.

Customers who have pre-ordered New Pokémon Snap for pick-up at stores will have an extended product pick-up period from April 30th, 2021 until May 31st, 2021 instead of May 13th, 2021. Please note that the deadline may be further postponed due to changes in the emergency declaration in the future. If you wish to cancel your reservation, please contact a Pokémon Center that is open for business.

In response to the government's declaration of a State of Emergency to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and from the resulting request by the governors of the applicable prefectures to refrain from going outside, the Pokémon Café Tokyo, Pokémon Café Osaka, and Pikachu Sweets by Pokémon Café will be temporarily closed from Sunday, April 25th, 2021 until the declaration of a State of Emergency is lifted. Please note that the closure period may be subject to change depending on future announcements by the government, prefectural governors or local governments. An announcement will be made when the café will reopen.

Those who have already made reservations at the Pokémon Café Tokyo and the Pokémon Café Osaka will be contacted individually. Reservations will not be accepted for the time being. We will notify you as soon as we are able to resume accepting reservations.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused to customers who have been looking forward to the Pokémon Café Tokyo, Pokémon Café Osaka, and Pikachu Sweets by Pokémon Café, and ask for your understanding and cooperation.
