SELL (Syndicat des éditeurs de logiciels de loisirs) presented the yearly results of the video game industry in France with their biannual February 2020 issue which is titled L'Essentiel de Jeu Vidéo and it revealed the sales figures for France in 2019. Pokémon Épée and Bouclier both did well with Pokémon Épée (Sword) placing 6th overall in sales selling 376,637 copies generating 18,144,035 € and Pokémon Bouclier (Shield) placed 12th selling 251,816 copies with sales of 12,130,081 €.
