A software update for the Pokédex 3D application has been posted on Nintendo's servers. Nintendo 3DS owners that have the application installed on their 3DS can download the new update by selecting the Update option under the menu. The update is available worldwide.

The update unlocks options that generally require users to unlock by getting a certain number of stickers in their sticker book via sharing or trading Pokémon. Some of the unlocked features are: SD card backgrounds pictures can be used in the AR viewer, the pause Pokémon movements button and the size slider.
