Well, they didn't perform the song, but they did play more of it than usual.
The AAA battle works as a nice segue into the full-on viewer battles. I didn't even know they played! They must have really gotten into it during that tour.
It'll be interesting to see what kinds of teams get used in this Isshu-dex only format.
I voted for the Kanto starters episode, Golgo really seemed to be selling it better than Red.
