Character Bios written:
-Mitsuzoh:
Mitsuzoh is an old man living in a mountainous and windy valley near Asatsuki Town. Satoshi and his friends first met him when they got lost in the woods and came upon the valley where Mitsuzoh and his granddaughter were having a battle. He is an expert in midair Pokémon battles, but has retired and rarely battles anymore, apart from having practice battles with his granddaughter Mayo from time to time. Even though many Pokémon trainers have asked him to either take them on as apprentices or, if that can't be done, to at least train their Pokémon to become stronger in air battles, he has turned them all down, because he didn't see any potential in the trainers' Pokémon.
He owns a Hassam which he has trained in order to take advantage of the wind currents when it battles. He used that Hassam against Satoshi's Glion, when Satoshi asked the Air Battle Master to have a battle with him so that he could test his Glion's strength. The battle ended in an absolute victory for Hassam due to it skillfully using the wind currents to dodge Glion's attacks. After seeing that Glion was unable to land a hit on Hassam, he advised Satoshi to practice on how to 'read' the wind movements along with his Pokémon, so that it can become stronger.
He later accepted another battle challenge from Satoshi. Using his Hassam again, he battled against a stronger Glion, but still managed to win. He was amazed, though, by Glion's overnight improvement, as well as its strong, newly-learned Giga Impact attack, and offered Satoshi to train his Pokémon. Satoshi accepted the offer after noticing his Glion's will to become stronger, and thus left it in Mitsuzoh's care.
-Mitsuzoh's Hassam:
Air Battle Master Mitsuzoh owns a powerful Hassam, which he has trained in order to skillfully use the wind currents when it is battling in midair with other Pokémon. Satoshi and his friends first saw it when it was battling against a Chirean in a practice battle between Mitsuzoh and his granddaughter. It later battled against Satoshi's Glion and managed to avoid all of its opponent's attacks by taking advantage of the wind, which led to its absolute win over Glion. Hassam was used again by Mitsuzoh in his rematch battle with Satoshi, but this time Glion proved to be a more challenging opponent with its newly-learned Giga Impact attack. Hassam, however, managed to pull a close win using its powerful Hyper Beam attack.
-Mayo:
Mayo is the granddaughter of Air Battle Master Mitsuzoh. She helps her grandfather train Pokémon to become stronger in midair battles and even acts as his opponent in practice battles from time to time. She was surprised that Satoshi didn't know who her grandfather was, and she was the one who later told him and his friends more about the Air Battle Master.
-Satoshi's Glion:
On their way to Asatsuki Town, Satoshi and his friends met the Air Battle Master Mitsuzoh. In order to test his Glion's strength, Satoshi asked Mitsuzoh to have a battle with him. Mitsuzoh accepted, but the opponent's Hassam proved to be really strong, as it used the wind currents to dodge all of Glion's attacks. The loss made Glion really sad, but also motivated it to train harder overnight on 'reading' the wind movements with Satoshi's help. During the rematch battle against Mitsuzoh, Glion learned Giga Impact, which aided it in putting up a better fight than in the previous battle. Even though in the end it still lost, Mitsuzoh was really impressed by Glion's improvement and thus offered Satoshi to train it. After Satoshi noticed his Glion's will to become stronger, he accepted Mitsuzoh's offer and let Glion in the Air Battle Master's care.
