Pokemon Snap is coming to Wii Virtual Console in Japan on December 4th for 1000 Wii Points. Unlike most Virtual Console games that are emulated images of the original game, Pokemon Snap has some added some newfeatures. In the Wii Virtual Console version of Pokemon Snap, after taking pictures, you can save them onto your Wii Message board and you can also send them to your friends.

Pokemon Snap has also been announced for North America. It will be released a few days after the Japanese launch on December 10th, 2007.Hopefully we will see more Pokemon games on Wii Virtual Console in the near future as well.

Pokemon Snap is a non-traditional Pokemon game for the Nintendo 64 and now for the Nintendo Wii. In Pokemon Snap, the famous Pokemon Researcher, Professor Oak, is researching Pokemon on Pokemon Island, and invites Todd, a talented young photographer, to assist in his research. The only current inhabitants of Pokemon Island are wild Pokemon, making it the perfect place to study Pokemon in their natural habitat. Whereas a trainer may not be able to resist catching the wild Pokemon of the island, Todd's photography skills may equally aid in the Professor's research to complete his Pokemon Report.
