Title: Pokémon Masters EX - A Message from the Pokémon Masters EX T...
The producer of Pokémon Masters Yu Sasaki posted an open letter about the game on the Pokémon Master's official website. The letter addresses the upcoming changes to the game.
A Message from the Pokémon Masters EX Team (Vol. 43)
Greetings, Trainers.
We’re the producers of Pokémon Masters EX, Yu Sasaki and Tetsuya Iguchi, here with a new message for you. Today, we’ll focus on details about new Sync Pairs that debut at the end of January.
A New Arrival in the Trainer Lodge!
Starting January 31, 2023, you’ll be able to invite Morty as your Guest to the Trainer Lodge! To invite Morty, you’ll need to team up with Morty & Drifblim first. You can team up with Morty & Drifblim from various Sync Pair Scouts, so be sure to invite him once you’ve teamed up with this Sync Pair.
Story Event Chef’s Heartful Delivery Is Coming!
Story Event Chef’s Heartful Delivery will begin on January 30, 2023. This year, Mallow and Elesa will appear dressed in seasonal attire, so we hope you look forward to seeing them take the stage in this event.
Plus, you can see special stories of Mallow and Elesa by completing Missions. You just might be able to see something wonderful in these special stories, too. See for yourself to find out!
Mallow (Palentine's 2023) & Appletun
Mallow (Palentine's 2023) & Appletun are a Dragon-type support Sync Pair. Thanks to their Passive Skills, they can restore the HP of all allies after successfully attacking with a move or the first time Mallow (Palentine's 2023) & Appletun use their Sync Move. Another Passive Skill lets them restore their own HP by approximately 50% of their maximum HP the first time their HP drops to half or below each battle.
Order Up! charges their Move Gauge and raises the Defense of all allies by three stat ranks, making them a Sync Pair that excels at boosting the endurance of their entire team.
On top of that, they can also use Apple Acid to lower an opponent’s Sp. Def, which is a rare capability for a support Sync Pair to have.
Elesa (Palentine's 2023) & Togetic
Elesa (Palentine's 2023) & Togetic are a Flying-type strike Sync Pair. This strike Sync Pair mainly makes use of Metronome to use one of several moves at random.
You never know which move will activate when using Metronome, and since it only uses one slot of the Move Gauge, Elesa (Palentine's 2023) & Togetic can perform exceptionally well as a secondary strike Sync Pair on your team.
Their Passive Skill increases their Physical Moves ↑ Next and Special Moves ↑ Next effects by one rank each when Togetic uses a status move, making them capable of dealing major damage.
By teaming up with Elesa (Palentine's 2023) & Togetic, you’ll get a special Friend Snapshot that you can view in the Trainer Lodge, so be sure to check it out if you add them to your team!
Also, last year’s Story Event Sweet Shenanigans will return on February 5, 2023, so this is your chance to play it if you haven’t before.
New Story Content in the Kalos Chapter of the Villain Arc!
The Kalos Chapter of the Villain Arc is now available to play, and its second part will be added on February 12, 2023. Looker joins forces with Malva to capture the traitors within Team Flare. Just what are the traitors’ goals? And what are the intentions of Lysandre, the boss of Team Flare? As the story gets going, someone unexpected will show up when our heroes are in trouble!
To coincide with this story addition, three Trainers will appear as Sync Pairs in the Poké Fair on separate days. Two of these Trainers will be appearing as Sync Pairs for the first time, so we hope you look forward to their debut.
Also, an event is scheduled to coincide with this addition to the Kalos Chapter of the Villain Arc. In this event, you can strengthen Professor Sycamore & Xerneas by collecting Xerneas Crystals. After they’re strengthened, their Sync Grid will be expanded, adding tiles that can be unlocked for zero Energy as well as tiles that allow them to learn even stronger Grid Skills, so we hope you look forward to it.
The Run-Up to 3.5 Years Celebration Is Coming to Pokémon Masters EX!
Pokémon Masters EX will soon reach the three-and-a-half-year mark since launch. We’re incredibly grateful for your support. Several Rallies will begin starting February 17, 2023 as part of the Run-Up to 3.5 Years Celebration, including a Log-in Bonus and Mission Bingo.
Also, to celebrate the three-and-a-half-year mark, a certain Master Sync Pair will get powered up and return! Please wait a little longer for more information.
Future Updates - Trainer Lodge Redecorating Feature
A feature that allows you to redecorate the Trainer Lodge is scheduled to be added in next month’s update. You’ll be able to line up your favorite objects on a shelf in the middle of the Trainer Lodge and decorate certain areas with posters. The posters will have designs from previous title screens and Pokémon Masters artwork that’s been posted on social media, so be on the lookout for your favorites.
We plan to add more objects and posters in the future, so we hope you look forward to it. For now, we’d like to give you a sneak peek at what this redecorating feature looks like.
Revamping the Pokémon Center
The interior of the Pokémon Center will get revamped and event info will display on the central electric bulletin board! By tapping the electric bulletin board, you’ll be able to see even more detailed information about events, so please wait a little longer for these renovations to be completed.
Increasing the Maximum Number of Teams in the Edit Team Menu
Because the number of preset teams currently available tends to be lacking for places that require diverse teams—such as the Legendary Gauntlet, Champion Stadium, and region rotation battles—we plan to increase the number of preset teams from 30 to 100. Please wait a little longer for this improvement as well.
What to Expect in the Next Message
Our next message is scheduled for late February. In it, we plan to share information about the three-and-a-half-year mark of the game, new Sync Pairs arriving in March, and events. We’re always working hard to deliver updates and improvements that make the world of Pokémon Masters EX as fun as possible.
Until next time, thank you for playing Pokémon Masters EX.
