Description:

Pokémon Stadium 2 (ポケモンスタジアム金銀) is the sequel to the original and popular 3D battle strategy Pokémon Stadium. The game was first released in Japan on December 14, 2000 for 6,800 Yen.

The games features the first 251 Pokémon, new minigames, league mode, Game Boy Tower, Free Battle and much more. Players can import their Pokémon onto the Nintendo 64 and battle with their friends in 3D on their television screen.

Story/Information:

The game takes place at White City which is the hub for the main events in Pokémon Stadium 2. Players can visit numerous locations which includes a large Pokémon Stadium in the center.

Stadium mode consists of four degrees of difficulty: Little Cup, Poké Cup, Prime Cup and Challenge Cup. Players are suggested to have their own trained Pokémon ready for this mode but rental Pokémon can be used to defeat the eight trainers in each cup mode.

Mini-game mode features 12 games that players can challenge against the computer or up to 3 additional players. Below is a list of the games that are available in Pokémon Stadium 2.

Clear Cut Challenge

Press the A Button to cut falling logs at the white line. There are five logs in all. Time your cuts, cutting above the white line will cost you points. The one with the highest total score wins. Scyther, Scizor, Pinsir
Furret's Frolic

Pres the + Control Pad to move into the grass. Release it to move back to the center. Press the A Button to shoot the ball forward. Get the most points to win. Furret, Girafarig
Barrier Ball

Use the Control Stick to move and hit the ball back. Press the A Button to hit a smash. Each a point for getting the ball in the opponent's court and lose a point when scored on. Get five points to win. Mr. Mime

When an electrode pops out, press and hold the + Control Pad in the same direction. If the lamp is blue, repeatedly tap the A Button. If the lamp is green, tap the B Button. The first ot fully charge wins. Pichu, Pikachu
Rampage Rollout

Use the + Control Pad to run around the track. The first to complete nine laps wins. Press the A Button to leave a dust cloud. You can earn and save up to three dust clouds per lap, depending on your rank. Donphan

Tumbling Togepi

Run downward, using the Control Stick to avoid flowers, boulders and logs. Step on an arrow to speed up. You can jump over logs, but you will slow down. The first one to the goal wins. Togepi, Omanyte
Delibird's Delivery

Fill the sack with up to five gifts using the Control Stick and carry it up to the top. Higest score wins. Earn extra points for picking up the items in a row. Delibird
Egg Emergency

Catch the falling eggs! Use the L and R Buttons to move from side to side. Avoid the Voltorbs or you'll lose some of your eggs. There are 100 eggs in all. The player who catches the most eggs wins! Chansey, Blissey

The game also includes a variety of fun minigames that can be played with up to three of your friends. Please note that any N64 Transfer Pak functionality from Pokémon Stadium 2’s original release—which allowed players to import Pokémon from early handheld Pokémon titles—is not available in this version.
